2017 Festivals Horton Vineyards Will Attend

July 1 - Bowling On The Green Wine Fest - The Old Mansion - Bowling Green, VA.  1pm - 6pm.  The Town of Bowling Green invites you to attend the 2nd annual Bowling on the Green Virginia Wine Festival in support of Caroline County Public Schools Education Foundation on Saturday, 7.01.17 at 1pm-6pm at The Old Mansion, located at 200 South Main Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

 

August 19Clover Hill Village Wine Fest -  Appomattox, VA.  12pm - 6pm.  Located a mile off of Highway 24,approximately three miles east of U.S. 460 and the town of Appomattox(River Ridge Road is the first right turn after the National Park entrance)Local Wineries & Breweries - Food and Merchandise Vendors - Live Music

 

Sept. 2 - Labor Day Wine & Music Fest - Amherst, VA.  Rebec Vineyards, 12pm - 6pm.   Enjoy the fruits of OUR labor!

 

Sept. 4 - Herndon Labor Day Festival - Herndon, VA.  Monday 11am - 5pm. Join us in downtown Herndon for great music, a craft show, food, eight wineries and micro-brews and culinary demonstrations.

 

Sept. 9Leesburg Wine Festival - The Village at Leesburg - Leesburg, VA. 11am-7pm.  As you enter…..take your souvenir tasting glass and stroll from tent to tent and table to table, tasting and sampling the rich heritage of Virginia vines. As you sip and savor the afternoon, relax in the beautiful setting of the Village at Leesburg.

 

Sept. 16Wine By The Lake - Lake Anna, VA.  11am - 5pm.  The 2017 Wine by the Lake Wine Festival is a wine festival being held at the Lake Anna State Park directly on Lake Anna. The festival will promote the local Lake Anna community, its restaurants and businesses and great Virginia wineries combined with amazing local food, great music and local Lake Anna vendors.

 

Sept. 16 & 17Stratford Hall Wine and Oyster Festival - Stratford, VA.  Sat. 10am - 6pm, Sun. 10am - 5pm.  Visit Robert E. Lee's birthplace for this annual wine fest.  Family entertainment features Treakle’s Train barrel rides, hayrides, alpacas, a miniature farm animal collection, and Memory Lane Car Club show (classic car show Sunday only).

 

Sept. 23 & 24 - Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival - Crazy Horse Marina - Moneta, VA.  Sat. 11am - 6pm., Sun. 11am - 5pm.  Whether you are a wine lover or just tempting your taste buds, Virginia wines offer flavors and styles to please every palette. Winemakers will be on hand to answer wine-related questions and assist guests with their sampling. Enjoy a favorite or try something new. Sip a glass at the festival or take a bottle home. Bring your lawn chair, relax and enjoy CONTINUOUS LIVE MUSIC!

 

Sept. 30 - Festival of Grapes & Hops - Petersburg, VA.  11am - 5pm. Petersburg's Wine and Beer Tasting Festival.  Enjoy Virginia wines and beers the way they were meant to be tasted...with friends, music and great food! Gather your friends and bring them to charming Old Towne Petersburg for a day of sipping, swirling and fun.

 

Oct. 6, 7 & 8 - Mount Vernon Fall Wine Festival - Mount Vernon, VA.  6pm - 9pm.  Join Mount Vernon in its rain-or-shine fall celebration of the history of the Virginia wine industry on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River. Participants sample wines from award-winning Virginia wineries, learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father’s wine endeavors, enjoy live blues, and meet “George Washington” on the Mansion's piazza.

 

Oct. 7 - Powhatan Festival of the Grape - Powhatan, VA.  11am - 6pm. If you love tasting the best of Virginia wines, enjoying savory food, and listening to the best in live entertainment, all in an enchanting courthouse square, then we hope you will join us for Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape. We are delighted to offer 30 wineries, 100+ quality arts and craft vendors, as well as a variety of live entertainment and a great selection of delicious, regional favorite foods.

 

Oct. 7 - Yorktown Wine Festival - 12noon - 6pm - Yorktown, VA.  The Best of Virginia in Yorktown
Great Music, Food & Art Vendors & lots of fun at Historic Yorktown. Dinner event: $75 per person includes 8 Virginia wines and 4 course dinner.  Dinner Event begins at 7:30PM

 

Oct. 14Chesapeake Wine Festival - Chesapeake, VA.  12noon - 6pm.   Thousands will gather to enjoy wines not only from Virginia’s finest wineries, but from around the world – and along the way will taste the many foods from the regions best restaurants.  Live music from Lewis McGehee, Jesse Chong and friends will accompany the many wine and culinary celebrations.


Oct. 14 & 15 - Virginia Wine Festival - Oronoco Bay Park - Alexandria, VA.  11am - 6pm.  NEW SITE!  More info coming soon.

 

Oct. 21 & 22Town Point Wine Festival - Norfolk, VA. Town Point Park.  11am - 5pm.  Join us along the Downtown Norfolk waterfront for one of the state’s largest outdoor wine festivals featuring more than 30 Virginia wineries providing a sampling of wines available for purchase by the glass, bottle or case.  Also enjoy gourmet, made-in-Virginia food items, specialty crafts, and live musical entertainment.


Nov. 10, 11 & 12 - The Bodacious Bazaar - Hampton, VA. - Fri. & Sat. 10am - 7pm, Sun. 10am - 6pm.  The Bodacious Bazaar is an amazing three day shopping extravaganza and wine festival that is held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in the Hampton, Virginia. Our show is designed to promote talented artists, crafters, local businesses and wonderful Virginia wineries at an extraordinary venue. Our show donates a percentage of its net to chosen non-profits each show. The fall show has 350 quality vendors, it is just the place to find the perfect unique and quality Christmas gift.

 

Nov. 11Shenandoah Uncorked - Quicksburg, VA.  10am - 5pm.  Explore Virginia wine, food and crafts at the seventh annual Shenandoah Uncorked festival on November 12, 2016 at The Yellow Barn at Shenandoah Caverns. With over 10 Virginia wineries, great food, unique crafts and a variety of kid's activities, there's something for everyone at Shenandoah Uncorked. The festival begins at 10am and wine stops pouring at 4:30pm. Admission is free. Wine tasting is only $15 and includes a souvenir glass. Also explore Shenandoah Caverns right next door-you'll get a special discount with your festival wristband!
