June 9 (Sat.) - 2nd Annual Food Truck Battle - 12pm to 4pm - Do you love wine? Love food? Support local businesses? Join us at our second annual Food Truck Battle.
June 16 (Sat.) - Horton's Hole In One - 10am to 5pm - Celebrate Dad's at Horton Vineyards. Pack the car with the entire family and bring a picnic lunch. We have the wine. You are welcome to bring a pop up tent and chairs to spend the afternoon. We will have outdoor lawn and table top games.
June 23 (Sat.) - Summer Celebration - 10am to 5pm - Horton's Summer Celebration is happening on Saturday, June 23th ALL DAY! We will have yard games for kids and adults alike, as well as summer fun give away bags for children. Pop-up tents are welcome, as are your furry friends! There will also be communal lawn and picnic table games for everyone to enjoy!
July 7 (Sat.) - Buffalo Wild Wings Food Truck - 11am to 3pm - Come by and enjoy some wings & wine.
July 7 (Sat.) - Horton's Summer Reading List, The Rogue's Fate - 12pm to 5pm - Come to Horton Vineyards for an afternoon of Book Reading, Signing and Wine. Explore the world of paranormal romance with local Madison County author Missy De Graff. Missy will be doing a reading and book discussion starting at 1:00 pm with a chance for you to purchase a signed copy for her creation.
July 14 (Sat.) - 26th Annual Pig Roast - 11am to 4:30pm - Join us for our 26th Annual Pig Roast on July 14th! Tickets are $30 per person. Bring tents, chairs and decor to set up as you spend the day all around the vineyard. Call us at 540-832-7440 to buy your tickets now or visit the winery and purchase them (and wine) in person! Table/Tent Contest: Decorate your table or tent and win prizes from Horton Vineyards.
July 21 (Sat.) - Junk Food Pairing - 12pm to 4pm - Ever wonder which wine should be paired with your bag of Funyuns or whether a Cabernet Franc is best suited for your bowl of Cheetos? Join us for an afternoon of wine and junk food pairings.
August 5 (Sun.) - National Sisters Day - 10am to 5pm - In honor of National Sisters Day bring your sister to Horton's for a wine tasting. When you purchase a tasting your sister will receive a complimentary tasting.
August 5 (Sun.) - Wine and Paint Sunday - 1pm to 4pm - A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends creating art. Local artist/Instrucor Carol Barber will teach students how to make this bright summer daisy. The tickets are $45 per person and include all of your painting supplies and a glass of a wine of your choice. You are welcome to bring your own snacks to eat throughout the event! We hope to see you there.
August 11 (Sat.) - National Bowling Day - 10am to 4pm - To celebrate National Bowling Day we will have indoor and outdoor bowling games set up. Bowl a strike and receive a prize!
August 18 (Sat.) - Horton's Summer Reading List - 1pm to 6pm - Andrew Painter will be on site for book reading, historical lecture and book signing at Horton Vineyards of his latest boook: Virginia Wine: Four Centuries of Change. Andrew Painter chronicles the dynamic personalities, diverse places, and engrossing personal and political struggles that have established the Old Dominion as one of the nation’s preeminent wine regions. Virginia’s wine industry now accounts for nearly $1 billion in annual sales, with more than 275 wineries growing more than thirty varieties of grapes. The author discusses a multitude of wine-industry trends, events, secondary industries, and jobs that have revolved around the growing of grapes and the making and promotion of wine. This is the definitive look at Virginia’s wine history and culture, in an agricultural and industrial sector that is itself unique within world commerce and society.
September 16 (Sun.) - Sunday Wine and Paint - 1pm to 4pm - A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends creating art. The tickets are $35 per person which includes all of your painting supplies and a glass of a wine of your choice. You are welcome to bring your own snacks to eat throughout the event!
