April 7 (Fri.)  -  National No Housework Day -  Drop your brooms and dishes (well, don't actually drop the dishes) and come get some wine to relax with on National No Housework Day! Enter your WORST chore into a jar for a chance to win a complimentary tasting for 2.


April 9 (Sun.)  -  Balsamo's Pizza - Join us in welcoming Balsamo's Mobile Pizzeria for the first time on April 9th! Balsamo's has delicious woodfire pizzas for everyone as well as delicious salads with their home made dressing! Plan on spending lunch at Horton next Sunday!


April 14 (Fri.)  -  Scrabble Night - Join us in celebrating National Scrabble Day on Friday, April 14th for a night of wine, games and snacks. There will also be a door prize for our contestants! Bring your own boards or borrow some we have here.


April 15 (Sat.)  -  Easter Egg Hunt - Bring the family to Horton for an afternoon of family fun. Arts and Crafts stations will be available starting at Noon and then the Easter Egg Hunt begins at 1pm. Fun items and candy for the kids will be found in the eggs that we have hidden all around the winery and vineyard. Gourmeltz Food Truck will have excellent lunch options available.


April 21 (Fri.)  -  National Blue and Green Day - Free tastings on April 21st for every organ donor who comes into Horton! You will also be able to change your organ donor status here at the winery. #donatelife #donateorgans #bluegreenday


April 21 (Fri.)  -  Wine and Paint Night  -  5:30pm to 8:30pm - Tickets are $45 plus tax per person and include all your painting supplies and a glass of wine of your choice. You are welcome to bring snacks to have through out the event. Seats are limited in order to receive individualized attention from the instructor Carol Barber from the Orange Art Center. Those under 21 are welcome to come as well and will be provided soda, lemonade or tea upon request.


April 22 (Sat.)  -  Wizarding Winery  -  12pm to 4pm - Visit the mystical world of wizards for a day at Horton Vineyards. Complete with quidditch demonstrations by the Richmond Ravens, themed outdoor and indoor games, a wizards costume contest (time TBA), as well as make your own wand stations and much more! Come out from 12-4 PM and experience magical fun for the whole family.

Bavarian Chef and Kona Shaved Ice food trucks will be here from 11-4 PM serving up their best dishes and desserts!

*You are encouraged and welcome to bring tents and chairs for your group to set up outside*


April 27 (Thu.)  -  Cooking With Wine Class  -  6pm to 9pm -  Our wonderful chef Terre Sisson is coming back with another fun and inventive night at Horton! Tickets are $68 per person and include a hands on cooking experience, a portion of each of the 3 courses that are made as well as wine to pair with them, and a copy of Terre's recipe. May 4 (Thu.)  -  May The Fourth Be With You -  On May the 4th, wear any Star Wars memorabelia and get a free wine tasting!


May 6 (Sat.)  -  National Nurses Day - Nurses get free tastings on May 6th, 2017 in celebration of National Nurses Day. Two Brother's Food Truck will also be at Horton from 11-4 serving delicious nachos, tacos and more!

May 13 (Sat.)  -  Mother's Day Tea - Come and enjoy a sitting of tea with an extensive menu of savory and sweet delights accompanied by a glass of Horton wine and an individual pot of tea. There will be two seatings; one at 11:30 AM and one at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for anyone under the age of 21.

Ticket sales are final unless the event is cancelled. 
Please alert us to any food allergies or assistive needs when making your purchase.


May 19 (Fri.)  -  Wine and Paint Night  -  5:30pm to 8pm -  Tickets are $45 a person and include all of your painting supplies and a glass of wine of your choice. You are welcome to bring snacks to eat throughout the event! We hope to see you there.


May 27-29 (Sat. - Mon.)  - Gourmeltz and Free Tastings for Vets and Spouses - In honor of Memorial Day, Horton will be giving free tastings to vets and their spouses all weekened. Just bring your ID and enjoy some wine on us! Gourmeltz, a veteran owned food truck, will be here on Saturday and Sunday serving their delicious artisan melts! All active duty and retired military ALWAYS save 10% on their Gourmeltz purchases!




June 3 (Sat.)  -  Food Truck Battle  -  12pm to 4pm - Do you love wine? Love food? Support local businesses? Join us at our first ever Food Truck Battle! We will be hosting up to 10 food trucks for the afternoon as the Horton staff, a local food critic and YOU, the people, vote on your favorite dishes! Each truck will have a $3 sampler to try, and we will be doing tastings and selling wine outside as well as in the tasting room.

Bring a tent, some chairs and spend the afternoon filling up on fresh, local food and delicious Horton wine. Admission is FREE!

June 10 (Sat.)  - Rikki's Refuge Fundraiser with SOBO Food Truck - Our Fill the Barrel fundraiser for Rikki's Refuge is happening once again! A monetary donation or donation of the following goods will get you a free tasting at Horton that day!

-Paper Towels
-Laundry Detergent
-Cat Food
-Dog Food
-Canned Tuna
Other donations are welcome as well! 

SOBO (South of the Border) food truck will be here 11:30-4 PM serving delicious Mexican food as well!

June 17 (Sat.)  -  MASH Father's Day Party -  MASH themed Father's Day event with the Mouth Wide Open Food Truck.


June 24 (Sat.)  -  Summer Celebration - Horton's Summer Celebration is happening on Saturday, June 24th ALL DAY! We will have yard games for kids and adults alike, as well as fully loaded picnic totes for sale to help you enjoy your afternoon in the vineyard. Pop-up tents are welcome, as are your furry friends!

Our totes will include the following:

-A picnic blanket

-Two wine glasses

-A rubber cork

-A corkscrew

-Outdoor toys and games


There will also be communal lawn games for everyone to enjoy! Gourmeltz and Smiley's Ice Cream food trucks will be here from 11-5 serving all of your favorite treats.
